First of all, thnx for helping me in ASR problem last time. Now I face a new problem about the Car's temperature. My 500sl has a temperature at 100 C all the way i'm driving but when I face the traffic jam it sometimes go up to 110 C which scary me so much. Please suggest what should I do. PS. I already change Valve (I'm not sure whats it call, it is the one which control the open/close of the water at ...80 C I think)

 

it can be the radiator or the viscous clutch for the fan.

remember, faulty control unit which alter the engine timing can also cause overheating.

 

i had the same problem with what you are going through. wasted money on new radiator ($600.00), clutch fan ($290.00), thermostat ($94.00)and so on. almost everything thats consisted in the cooling in the car. but dident help anything . it costed me over $3000.00 to this point. after reading all the forum helps. i just put a jumper switch on the ac outlit , and turn the fan on whenever i want it . i should of did that from the start and saved myself some money .
