Default 129 cup holder

here's a holder made from a 3x7 truss mending plate, 1'' x 1/4" foam stick on weather stripping, a leatherette cup holder I picked up from Target that was originally supposed to push into your air vents. I can't imagine doing that to my vents. there are a couple of screws under the rubber padding where the cup comes to rest, these will remove the vertical adjustment parts of the cup holder. drill out to enlarge the hole where the screws went through the bottom of the cup holder that held on on the vertical adjustment, get a screw that you can put a small nut on that is long enough to attach the cup holder to the truss mending plate that is rounded over at the ends. you may have to grind off the excess screw if necessary. put a drop of glue on the nuts so they won't scratch the storage compartment cover when putting it on and the nut won't come loose. use two strips of 1 x 1/4" on each side of the bottom and completely cover the top with the weather stripping. then cover with leather and have velcro stitched on to the flaps.
