I am about to buy illuminated door sills for my 2004 S430 and wanted to see if anyone has done this before, so that maybe someone can give me heads up about which wires would be best to use and things like that.

i did it on my car last year, it was fairly easy, the kit came with everything needed to install. the red wire goes to 12v under the back seat fuse panel.
the other wires go to the door switches which are grounds.

 

can you please tell me what fuse?? also do all four door sills go to that one fuse? which door sills light up then when you open drivers door for example??
