BRAKE LIGHT "ON" and BEEPING?????

What is meant when the brake light is on and when I start moving it starts beeping, I just bought this 96 S320 and I dont know much, please help............Thank you.

it sounds like yourE brake pedal is not fully released or the switch is bad for the E brake

E brake is the "switch/lever" near to the steering wheel. You need to pull it towards you before moving off!

Thanks, the E-brake was not fully released. I dont know much about this car because we just bought it, I did not know what to expect............Thanks everbody that helped me out.
