Hi,

Mirror cover slides off after depressing/ move sideways the spring release below mirror. Sorry I don't have a diagram / picture. No need to try to move mirror glass which is only removable once the cover has been taken off.

The LEDs are mounted on the cover.

The LED electrical connector design changed circa 2000.

If you buy the more recent clear lens LEDs you may have to be creative re the connector since original "automatic" electrical connector was replaced by a fly leadarrangement. Physically the LED module is the same size however.

Best I can do is the following.

Angle mirror to give max access to space at bottom corner of mirror adjacent to the cabin.
With a small screwdriver or similar move the cover retaining spring upwards whilst pulling the cover off in an outwards direction.. This enables the spring to ride over a ridge on the cover.
Even when you know how to do this it is still a matter of trial and error to find the correct position on the "spring" that causes it to move sufficiently to allow the cover to come off.

Since you now state two of the three LED's have started working again it looks like it is a connection / corrosion issue. LED's are normallymega reliable.

I would like to comment on the remote laser part about lowing the windows. My car works sometimes and not other times with this feature for both open and close. The dealer theorizes that the battery is getting old enough where sometimes the amperage reading drops below a defined threshold where the sensors will not allow that feature to operate. I would love to fix this, butI do not have confidence in the explanation, as the Battery reads healthy. Anyone have a comment on that? Perhaps I'll make this a separate thread ifI don't get more info. good luck.
