hello guys.. i own a 1994 w140 coupe with 115,000 miles.. the car has full service history.. it has been in the family from 12 months old..the problem i am having is that when driven enthusiastically the car seems to hold back ie, when kickdown is engaged it drops down a gear accelerates hesistantly as the revs rise and the just holds right back at around 4,500 rpm and doesnt change up a gear until the gas is released.. apart from this at idle occasionally it will seem to miss slightly.. in all other driving conditions its fine ... the car just doesnt seem as fluid as it should be... can any one shed any light on the subject...
