I have a 1995 S420...but, imagine this:

Pull the carpet on the passenger side up and there's a metal plate. Pull the plate off and there's a whole mess of wires and vacuum hoses. There's this red box to your lower left hand side of all of this mess... like a 2" by 1" small box where you can lift the top half off to discover that it's like an joining unit/box to the lower half - has something to do with electricty, that's for sure. There's a thick black wire with a green stripe that runs from it with a yellow adapter on the end.

The black/green wire is grouped with another thick pack of wires that runs underneath the dash on the passenger side. The green/black wire is not long enough to run all the way to the driver's side, so it's either something near the passenger side that connects to it.

This is where I am now.

This yellow adapter/wire must've been hooked to SOMETHING at one point in time, but I have NO clue what the wire is for, nor where it went before the repair began.

Anyone have any insight? A wiring schematic would be perfect if you have one that you can attach and send to me. I know exactly what area I'm looking for...
