Default Rear drops 2002 s320cdi

Hello I bought a 2002 s320cdi when I turn the engine off the rear drops down very low when I restart it the red low suspension warning shows then I push the button and it lifts, no malfunction shows but the cars in limp mode but sometimes the suspension fault warning shows and it comes out of limp mode and when the warning goes out it goes back into limp mode. Any help would be much appreciated

Hello and welcome to the forum! I would try pulling the codes - this should give you a definitive answer as to what is going on.

Other members should chime in, but I would think that since you're getting a warning light that there would be stored codes on the unit.

The warning seems to come on in morning and then it's out of limp mode but It soon goes out then theres no malfunction. It drops mainly on the n/s/r to the floor but also o/s/r there's clearly got to be an air leak but the limp mode thing is a strange one. Thanks again for replying

It seems like there is leak in the air system, I don't know the procedure to check for the leak - other members should chime in here. Sorry that I could not be of more help!
