no sound from command system/radio, and cd changer not found in my 2000 s430/w220
the battery died a couple weeks ago in my car,
now no sound comes from the radio/navigation the system turns on and i everything seems to work find except no sounds comes out, also when i switch to CD it says "cd changer not detected" or something like that.
i checked all the fuses under the hood and under the rear seat, specificly fuse 61 and 66 which are stated as the ones for the radio and CD changer, but all fuses are fine, so now im kind of lost

oh also you can do a system test for the audio you have to set the radio to TAPE mode and click "mute+1+3" all at the same time and hold them for about 7 seconds and a special screen will appear

ok you have a problem in your d2b loop need to get codes from the comand center and find out what the problem is you need to find out what if your d2b loop is set up correctly. do you have a phone in your car with voice activation. you really need to go to the dealer and have them hook it up to the star and properly diagnosis it a star laptop is needed to figure this out. but in the mean time pull out your cd player and disconnect the fiberoptic loop from the changer and turn on the radio then plug the fiberoptic loop back in and see if everthing is working again.........

after cd changer removed, radio on without sound
I ask my mechanic to remove the cd changer, so it can be repaired by someone else. But now, radio is on without sound...did he just missed a connection, or will I just have to wait for cd changer to be put back?
thanks, Ming
