Returned from work to find 2002 S600 making strange noise under hood on driver's side. Car has been parked for about a week. There is no response from alarm key (tried 2 different ones) and skelton key will not open door. I am essentially locked out of the vehicle. Wife advised she heard car alarm earlier in the day (not sure if was the MB). Not sure what to do but, I know I don't want to call dealership unless absolutely neccessry.

Any advice?????

 

your battery died and alarm is ON, its dying slowly, thats why it makes that noise, I had samething

 

OK....I can handle battery replacement

Now I need to know how do I access the trunk where the battery is located. I have seen the term "pump the trunk" used in this forum but, have no idea how to do it. I am sure this is in the owners manual but it is locked in the trunk.


Please assist......
