I Just found this forum!! its been a tremendous help. I purchased a 2002 s430 like a year ago. I have actually enjoyed the car even though so much has went wrong with it haha. I think its finally at the point where I can bring it into 2011 and I really want to put a touch screen navigation/dvd player/ipod hookup in it. I have not been able to find what I am looking for. Wondering if I decided to go this route will I have to get it custom? Is there a way to get rid of all the buttons for the phone? I would like to get rid of all the clutter and just put a nice big screen in its place any ideas? or suggestions? I know I can update my current nav but I really wanna go touch screen I think it would enhance the look greatly.

 

yes there is a such thing ! you are looking for a kenwood all in one. model number dnx 7180 cost about 1200.00 they also have the woodgrain faceplate to accommodate the change all the phone buttons and screen will no longer exist the only controls left will be for the heat/ac at the bottom and it looks fabulous... try ABT.com.or just google the model number. the woodgrain faceplate is on ebay type in your model and year along with faceplate it should come up

thanks bro. I found the nav system for like 400 less (new). So im gonna def go with that. But still having trouble locating the new face plate so thats a concern. I think if i went to a car audio shop they should be able to help. I couldnt find the faceplate on ebay or any of the car audio shops i searched online though.

 

So i just called a car shop in my area and they basically told me I would have to do everything custom.

 

type in w220 bezel blend.. double din kit in ebay it will come up. and where did you find radio for 400 less

 

on ebay!! Actually I just searched dnx 7180 and there are several that are 3-4 hundred cheaper

 

I have a 2004 S430...Navigation/Radio not working "System Unavailable" message. Dealer said needs replaced(~4000.00)...any recommendations on a replacement system that would fit this model vehicle.
