Default Keyless Entry and Lock

Hi all. I have a minor trouble. My remote cannot open my door. The Infrared Sensor is working. I can see the light changing on the door to yellow when locked and Green when unlocked, but the actual doors refused to unlock unless I use the key. Also, the Central locking system button inside the car cannot unlock the doors either. I've checked the fused for the closing aid and the central locking system and they are OK. The remote is working fine. Can anyone help?

Thanks, Neil

The pump is under the passenger rear seat in a foam enclosure. You dont secify but I think some 95/96 pumps had a bad hose inside which leaked, and the pump wouild go into safety mode. The test would be to unplug it , wait and plug the electrical connector back in, you should hear it run as it pressurizes the lumbar "tank". The hose was available from the dealer, and could be replaced if you are some what handy. On the other hand if you have a total failure you need to replace the PSE. There is a new style available depending on the year I also tink it was 95/96 you vehicle you might need the hose adapter kit ( various Ys Ts and caps) the previous pump had a distributor plate. You can configure it for many modes.
It is always helpful to identify the car year when asking for help

The car is a 94 S500. I forgot to list it in the original thread. Thanks, Neil

Thanks for the update. The location you mentioned where exactly where it was. I found the pump and it was submerged in water. I have no idea how it got in there. but the connectors were removed and cleaned, drained. Now it is working fine, but the closing aid system for the doors are not working, but I can leave with that for now. I just wonder how water got in the compartment. there is no apparent leak.

Thanks for the info.

Neil

closing aid is another pump. rear left inside the trunk. just above wheel housing inserted beside the tank... upper area.

disconnecting and reconnecting the fuse will reset it.

Hi.
We also have a problem with the PSE locking.
The doors all lock and the pump runs for appx 3 seconds. When unlocking using the remote, all of the lights work correctly but the door buttons rarely pop up and if they do it is often only the drivers door which does. The pump runs for a fraction of a second on the open sequence. The fact that the pump runs at all and locks all of the doors seems to indicate that the motor works and pulls vacuum but it may be that there is a swap over valve in the unit which is not operating. any ideas please?
