I have a 1999 S430 and suspect a blown fuse in the box for the instrument cluster. For the life of me I can’t find the box in either end of the dashboard. I’ve seen other people on various forums say they can’t find it either but I haven’t seen a solution as to another location. Found both the boxes under the bonnet as well as the one in the rear of the car.

Edit - trying to find the fuse for the eis and ignition lock. I understand now pre 2001 cars don’t have the cockpit fuse box but on diagrams I’ve found I can’t see anything for fuse 78 which is present in cars with the cockpit fuse box.
