Default How to I PREVENT S500 from Starting Immediately (not driven for months)

With thanks for your advice: I'm helping a family member move a 1998 S500 which has not been driven for six months.

I'm concerned about lubrication on start-up. Is there an easy (safe) way to PREVENT start-up immediately (to crank for a minute without firing), so that cylinders have a chance to be lubricated?

Additional question: car will need jump start or new battery. Can I open the S500 trunk mechanically, using the key, to access the battery? Will I be able to open driver's door mechanically with key? Will computer, etc., need to be re-set if I replace battery?

Thanks very much for your advice on preparations to get car going and back to factory settings.
