just got my first car 2003 c230 kompressor coupe. I want to take good care of it.

I figure that most rust can be caused by winter salts etc. does anyone have any good products that will help prevent rusting?

 

Also, don't forget that road salt works best in a warm garage or above freezing conditions. I learned a long time ago that a salted car will rust faster if it is kept in any enclosure that is above freezing. Cars kept outside will last longer since the salt will work slower or not at all in very cold conditions.
Salt works best just around the freezing mark. Communities with extreme cold use sand as opposed to salt for that reason.
