Default Does this sound fair to you?

I am the new owner of a 2001 S430......only 28,000 miles

Car is at dealership for A service, inspection and SRS light

Dealer states:

1) Needs new tires......$888 (Existing tires are Michelin, states they are "gummy" tires and that this is normal at 28,000 miles)
2) SRS light is traced to back seat airbag....$625
3) Rear differential is leaking from a seal.... $799

I am new to the MB family, but this seems outrageous to me. Any opinions, one way or the other??

Thanks in advance

Never heard of the gummy tire deal...I think I would contact a tire place and have them inspect the tires.. as for the rest...its hard to say...I would have them show me proof there is an issue with the air bag and ask them to show you what is leaking and where.
