Hi! I´m looking for a cable to connect my S420 to my laptop, and read/erase the error code. I have the program autotap, (or if you know some better prog). The MB Service want´s 150$ to do it. (Its insane!!!)
Newer i will pay so mutch many for that!
Have anybady some link to a sites who sale this cable. or any description to do a cable by my self.

johan, your trans module got oil!

it's not suppose to have oil. must be dry.

i didn't notice your post lately.

Ok then i dry it out. I hope it´s not broken.
But i can´t understand where the oil come from.

I have now open the control module and clean it with electronik spray and will also clean the connectors. Hope it will fix the problem. Darn bad i can´t erase the error code aswell so the car goes out from emergency mode. I realy need that cable.

 

THE OIL N YOUR ETC CONTROL UNIT CAME FROM YOUR TRANS ELECTRICAL CONNECTOR ON THE SIDE OF YOUR TRANS IT LEAKS AND GOES UP THE WIRES INTO THE TRANS CONTROL UNIT. SEE IT ALL THE TIME REPLACED THE TRANS 13 PIN CONNECTOR YOU CAN GET THEN ON E BAY ALSO GET A QUART OF FLUID AND A DIPSTICK TO ADJUST YOUR FLUID LEVEL WHEN YOUR DONE

 

Great i will replace the trans 13 pin connector and fill up the oil level. need to order the oil and the dipstick aswell. Thank you so mutch for your answer. I have order a code reader from www.manualsunlimited.com. so now i can read/erase the codes.

Anyone have the part number for the 13 pin connector? I have find the other 2 part numbers.
Ebay is realy a mess trying to find anyting. (or a link)
I have also tryed www.getcoolparts.com and www.germanpartsonline.com
I also called my mb reseller and they as usual did not know anything, i said the cable from the transmission control module that goes in to the transmission. "dööh can you come in with the car and point it out was the answer i got" i dont want to drive at all with the car (i don´t know how mutch oil the transmission have leked"
