A/C not blowing AT all

RE: A/C not blowing AT all
I have the same problem with now air coming out of the vents. I suspect either the blower or the regular is at fault or both. But could someone tell me how I can tell which one is the cause of the problem? Thanks

RE: A/C not blowing AT all
I am faced with the same issue. No blowing action at all. However, I was given notice. Just prior to the blower action ceasing, I noticed a squealing sound, and the blower action became intermittent. Sometimes it seemed like it would self-adjust. And then, finally, nothing. When it ceased, there was the faint smell of electricity or wire burn.
What I am going to do is replace the Blower Motor first, because it is a main component, and it doesn't cost as much as the regulator. There is nothing wrong with the fan assembly, so I'll just replace the motor. Once the blower action is restored, then I'll be in a better position to determine whether there is something wrong with the regulator.
Remember, Blowers blow...Regulators, regulate the blower. If there is no blowing, there is nothing to regulate. At least that's my philosophy. So, I'm going to see how it pans out, and I'll get back to you with the results of my theory.
