Talking big block 300

Ok Merc folks I am the proud new owner of a 300d, with a blown engine, which is fine cause I have a 460 V8 I plan on droping in it (yes seriously, I gotta be different) any way I can get the engine in and running I just don't have any experience with merc wiring, so how hard will it be to get the rest of the car to function once the original engine is gone? Thanks for any feedback
Scott,

If I was droping in a 350 Chevy yes it would be a dime a dozen deal, but this is the 460 out of my drag car, it has a little under 600 hp so it should get the car movin fairly well, just wanted something to mess with all the Mustangs around here (i live 1mile from the local strip) thanks for the input think I can get around all the issues you stated with a few dash mods and some cable routing.
