97 Merc S420 no heat

Given the facts that the 3 hoses are cold after 1/2 hour running. It's kinda indicated the valves weren't openning to allow the flow. I decided to pull the assembly out and re-inspected the valves again. I see no obvious problem , I gave it a thorough clean up around the actuators areas. While the unit was still in my hands,I applied 12V to the pump motor and the 2 valves. All are good and in working oders. Re-installed it and it works !! I now can feel warn at the 3 hoses and the heat is working. Well, I can only say that the valves were sticking some how ? That is really saved me a bundle. Thanks for all the advices posted here folks.
