2004 S500 Aftermarket Sound System???
Hello everyone. I am new here and this is my first Mercedes that I have owned. It is a 2004 S500 and I absolutely love it. But the person that owned it before me tried to install a aftermarket sound system and it wouldn't work. So I have been trying to figure it out with no luck. I went and got an 2 channel line output converter and hooked it up to the positive and negative wires that go to the rear deck subwoofer and then hooked it back up to the speaker. then I ran the power wire, remote wire, and the ground wire to the new amplifier. then I connected the RCA wires to the converter to the new amp. When I turn on the car the new amp turns on but I get absolutely no sound out of the new speakers. Is there something that I have to bypass or disconnect. Also the guy replaced the stock head unit with a android tablet looking thing. Any help will be greatly appreciated.
OK well i got it figured out but I cant find any info on how to stop the volume from unexpectedly going really loud and then real quiet. Its really annoying and makes it unbearable to listen to music. Does anyone have any info on this? Hopefully at least one person will reply to this question.
