Just bought an '01 s500 and on the drive home found the fuel guage stopped working at times which in turn stopped the computer from showing how much fuel remains in the tank and the distance remaining on the tank of gas. This is an intermittent problem. Has anyone experienced this problem??? I would love to hear from you.

had the same problem in my 00 s500,

your fuel sending unit is bad, its located in the trunk behind the carpet.
