OK I have tried everything to change the time, the book says its thru the wheel controls it is not ..OK anyone know the secret ?
I feel like an idiot asking this but I am at wits end[:@][:@][&:]

Do it through the system button on the comand.

go to systems then settings then time/date. thats how its on my 00 s500.
