I found out that cable was replaced when my tranny was overhauled.[/align][/align]Update....we had a couple of below freezing mornings last week here in Dallas and after getting my car out of the garage and heading down the street, it shifted quickly into 3rd gear as it should. This happened without letting the car warm up and happened on both cold mornings. Any ideas why the issue went away in really cold weather? Thanks![/align]

 

hi i have s320 99 and im mechanic. sounds like everybody having this same problem it could be couple things 1- maf sensor even when no error on check engine. 2- transmission plate with electronic connector. 3- very simple the voltage. it could be the battery or alternator included voltage regulator. when you starting the car and voltage dropping to less then 10v transmission going to emergency mode and stops shifting gears. i hope it was helpful . thanks.
