Hey Blackwolf...sorry about your team, dude..that's the way it goes i guess. I must say that the goals that italy made were quite nice. I would have hoped that Portugal would have won today, cause I think italy could have stand a chance against them, but against france? hmm..don't know...Our city is full of flags on cars and people honking...lots of fun!.

As for the car, i haven't had time to check it out, hopefully next week. I was wondering...is there an easy way to see if the adjusting rear shelf is working properly? thanks again...any other signs or things for me to check while taking a look at the car? thanks

Easy. Put a nice heavy load in the trunk, if the car starts to bottom out and then do not adjust, more than likely the system is dying. But if the car sits fairly level and normal even with a heavy load in the trunk, you're cool.

(Also I noticed that after raising one side of my car with a jack while the car is off and then when I return it to the ground, it tend to sit a little uneven until I turn the car on and the car adjusts itself back to normal.)

Hey Guys, i understand now, is it kinda like the old citrouien's that had the adjusting rear suspension? the thing is this...is this rear deck does go ka-put, and the *** is a little saging right?, can't you just put stiffer springs to raise the rear-end? or i guess it just doesn't work that way...

IIKings...hang on dude not yet, i don't have time this week to go check it out (it's about a 20-25 min. drive from the city). This week coming up i will hopefully have a bit more time..got wedding preparations to do this week...I will keep you posted.

I had a Citroen CX with the full hydraulic steering, suspension and brakes and springs were not an option. For the 126 I think replacement springs are indeed an option since all 300 and 400 126 bodies had springs so you could put them on a 560, same for the Range Rover, they even have a plug in module to trick the suspension fault code to keep the light from illuminating on the dash.

IIKings..what's up? thats good news, so if indeed the hydrolics fail on the 560, you couls just replace the shocks and/or springs, for maybe something stiffer and the car will ride okay, just like any other car?

Although I have no personal experience having never owned a 560 but you should be able to add shocks/springs from a 420 (perhaps from a wrecking yard for the springs, a nice set of new Bielstein shocks and voila! No more pricey hard to fix hydraulics. You will want to confirm this with a shop/dealer to indeed assure it can be done. This would be a back up if the hydraulics go south, they may be good for another 100K.

Default Ideas On Oil Pump Change?

I own a 1969 280 SEL and I've had her for about 5 years, I have only started driving her myself within the last year though.

A few weeks ago, I refilled her oil and realized within the next week I made the mistake of putting in her winter grade oil, 10W-30, instead of the 10W-40.

Which she didn't take too kindly, and started cutting off after idling for longer than 40 secs with her oil pressure dropping from 45 to 15 before shutting off.

While rechecking her oil, last Thursday it shows that she is little over full on the dipstick but looking inside you didn't see the oil itself and there is no visible leaking.

Would just draining out her winter oil and refilling her with the right grade help or could there be something worse?
