Default Premature wear of Continental Tires on R Class

In December, I purchased 4 new tires at 32K miles. I took my 2008 R class in for regular service this week and was told I needed two new rear tires. I was stunned. I reminded my tech that I purchased new tires 6,000 miles ago. She thought it was odd and spoke to the parts mgr who came back with a unbelieveable response. He claims that I can expect to replace my rear tires every 6,000 miles because they're high performance AMG tires and all the torque goes to the rear. He'll take $15 off each tire. What?!?!? I'm not a car person but this sounds ridiculous. I spoke w/ husband and pushed back. I asked them to check the alignment that my MB dealer performed because there is no way my tires should wear at 6,000 miles. The alignment came back at MB specs!

Has anyone else had this problem? I'm getting ready to send my Continental tires packing!
