Default what to buy, hmmmmm

My wife is looking for her next Benz, first it was a 190 2.3,then it was a 320 4matic wagon, now shes looking at a 1999 ML320. So I guess the question I have is, do these vehicles have any ticks, problems. She has expanded her choices due to the fact that we have 5 kids, and well the wagon and the ML have 3 row options. We love the brand,I perfer the older models mainly affordability, but they also seem a little easier to work on.
Thank you for any help you could provide, and happy motoring.

P.S.
I love my 87 190d

the 320 wagon is a great car. those were like the last of the better cars in my opinion. i would pick the car with least mileage and the one that has been maintained better , preferrably at a Benz dealer. take it to a dealer and get it looked at. but it really all depends on how it was maintained previously. stay away from the 190..

I try to steer her away from the suv. I like the wagon better myself.
