Exclamation Transmission Fluid

Hello,

I'm new to the Mercedes Forum and my parents have a 2000 ML320 and when we got home from our vacation we found transmission oil allover the garage floor. Where can i find the Transmission Dipstick? Where can I find the place to put more transmission fluid in? and What kind of Transmission Fluid does the 2000 ML320 take?

Believe it or not Mercedes really didn't put out a service live on the fluid. They even removed the drain on the torque converter. In recent years the drain is back and the service life is one time at 40,000 miles.

Or: you can wait till the transmission goes bad on you and pay more then the truck is worth or have some lucky bastard like me have it for dirt cheep and he will replace the transmission and have a nice ride as you used to!
Previous owner of my ML also trusted the "lifetime fill" and never replaced the fluid untill it was too late to change it, at 132K miles and I bought it from him 3 years ago.
