Sounds bad when turning left and adding some gas, in a roundabout for example on my ML320 steptronic, year 2000. It sounds like a stone chrushing, grinding, scraping sound from the front left.
Took the wheel of and turned the wheel arond without finding any sound..

Could it be the cv joint? How do one know its the outer or inner? is common practice to change the whole package with shaft an all or just the joints?

My Mercedes ML270 ( Year 2002) did not start after several attempts. i checked battery connections were intact. it took me about 10 to 15 mins after it hardly started.
