I have a 270cdi with 150k miles. Under reasonably hard acceleration, 3rd gear over revs before changing up into 4th. It only affects 3rd gear and only when the gearbox has warmed up. If I remove the sump and completely drain the gearbox, should I find any filings in the sump? I am fearful that the gearbox is about to collapse.
