Battery indicator light is on DIM! New alternator, battery and ground connections cleaned. With ignition on and small wire at alternator(D+wire) disconnected no indicator light, when connected to ground light is on full bright. While engine is running there is 6v at the small wire on the alternator and 11v across the battery and at the alternator post, thus it is not charging the battery. Battery cells tested with hydrometer all read fair one reads good.
Is it my battery being weak that is causing the no charging and battery indicator light to be on dim?
