I have a 2002 M. Benz ML 500. Recently I changed the engine oil, but I do not know how to reset the mileage on the speedo meter. Can someone please help me, how do I RESET the mileage? Thanks alot.

 

I have a '98 ML 320. Steps on how to reset the mileage are in the owners manual. It is pretty simple but may take a try or two to get it right.

I do not remember seeing the instruction in the manual. I will double check, may I know which section should I check?
Does your ML 320 has digital number on the speedometer?

On my 01 430 the procedure is:

Turn Key to position 2
press the mileage button 2 times within 1 second of turning the key on
Turn the key off within 10 seconds
press and hold the button
Turn the key to position 2
hold for 10 seconds

It took me a few tries to get the sequence right.
