I had an oil change done at the dealer and when they reset the mileage it was set with 4700 miles remaining instead of the 10K, the dealer said they can't override it because they have no record of the maintenace 2 requirement having been done and the system set the mileage not them.I tried resetting the normal way and was no help, any ideas will be appreciated. Any Techs out there who can tell me what to expect when that mileage runs out.

 

I got some story similar to that, since they did not perform all the service called for, they told me they could not reset it. Myfriend and shop manager went out on the driveway and reset it.
You have to follow the instructions, it does not say close the door, which is required!
