mcs cd player error message

thee cd/dvd player in my2002 ml500 is suddenly giving an errror message. It days unable to read disc or error reading disc and the player works intermittently.Anyone have any ideas? Thanks,Rickster22

i bot a cleaning CD, put it in and kept it running as the only CD in the magazine.
three weeks later it started to work again. (i forgot about it)

Sudden Disk Error on Car CD/MP3/DVD player? Make sure to use Car CD Lens Cleaner and it should take care of the problem.
BTW: Regular CD Lens cleaner will commonly fail to clean lens so don't even waste time with regular CD lens cleaner. Get a Car CD/MP3/DVD lens cleaner specifically designed for car CD players lens system. Maxwell seems to have a good one. Just play the lens cleaner disk and it should take care of the problem in a minute. They recommend cleaning lens after every 10 hours of usage.
