Maintenance cost on a ML320 with 76K
Hi:
I am looking at buying a 2001 ML320 w/ 76K on it, it says that so far its been maintained at the Merc dealership, I am trying to understand what type of maintenance/issues should I budget for going forward for this car? Any typical issues/repair costs on these cars...any tips will help, thanks in advance.

I have a 2000 ML320 with 64K miles. Based on dealership maintained pricesin the last 2 years, I have had the following items done
Front and Rear breaks (done 6 months apart) - $850 each
Oil change with synthetic oil - $120 (done every 10,000 miles)
Power steering line replaced - $750 - old line cracked due toVERY cold winter freeze
Battery replacement at 57K - $350
Power windows (driver side) - $100
New tires -$1300 all 4 tires.
Currently, my sensor (CPU) is not functioning properly and requires replacement $2500. I have postponed the replacement of the sensor since it is not impacting the performance of the car (my check engine light comes on and off periodically).
If the car is truly a dealership maintained vehicle.. with the owners permission, the dealership can print out the maintenance log. I know at any given time, I can have them verify the last time something was done. I spend no more than 3K a year for "fix it" items
Good Luck..
