the service light is on again on my 2001 ML 320. How can I tell if it is the A or B. Does a common scan tool give a code or something?

you can usually tell by mileage. a service was done at first 10,000 mile mark- b at 20,000 andso on.

 

what is different between the 1 wrench symbol and the 2wrenches symbol...in the instrument cluster?..my truck is about 21000 miles now and a 1wrench symbol showed 0 mile..but no light is on...what should i do with this symbol? and how to get rid of it?.

 

1 wrench should indicate an a service- 2 wrenches should indicate a b serice.
