Default cricket or chirp sound

I have just noticed a soft cricket or chirping type noise coming frm my dash (the left side I believe). It is very soft. I turned everything off (air, radio) and it still did it. It is intermittant.

I'd appreciate hearing from anyone who might know what this is and how to fix it.

On the left side, it could be the fan motor mounted inside of the fuse box, keeping all the electronic modules inside of it cool. After opening the fuse cover, you will have to remove about 5 screws to lift up large back cover with fuse/relay base and fan is under it. Usually this motor will make noise before it goes bad because of bronze bushings used on armature shaft, new motors come with ball bearings in them now.

Hi there,

I jhust noticed the same chirping in mine. What was the issue? Was it the fan motor? If not, what was it and what was the cost to fix the problem?

Thanks

Vic
