Hi, all

I have decided to dig in myself on changing front brake pad of my ML320 and I need some advise.
First, it seems it is faily a simple process from what I read from here. Take the tire off, use 13mm socket to remove brake shoe and replace pad and sensor and reverse the step to put back on, right?[sm=insomnia.gif]

Secondly,which brake pad to use? I see so many options on eBay and it confuses me more, ceramic, metallic, etc. Also, does sensor come with brake pad or is that something I have to buy seperately? Can anyone recommend me a brand or which to use?

the brake pads are different from each side so compare the new to the old ones before installing them. they might be labled with an L or R. usually the sensor is sold seperate. if the pads are incorrectly installedthe caliper wont go on correctly.

 

hi..i just replaced mine 2k miles ago.. (03 ml 320). i would say good parts...quiet and no dust...i bought this set of pad at MAXIMUMAUTOPARTS.COM ( ceramic AKEBONO.. it's around $80.00 which is sensor inclueded).. try this one out..
