Hello Mercedes fans! We just purchased an 82 300 TD. Although it has lots of get up and go.....it sways up the freeway like an old Buick and stops like a 1 ton Dodge diesel Cummings truck. Does anyone have any recommendations on a good type/brand of shocks or brake shoes? Thanks for your time.....the mudheads (rhonda and robert)

 

Thanks for your time and info! We would have responded sooner but the last windows vista service pak crashed our lap top (fatal blue screen and majore lost data/drivers etc! even the back up restore failed....but after much diligence I have us back up and operating ....Back to the Benz..we drove it home from its prior home from the west coast (Santa Cruze) to just 45 minutes from the Nevada border and the sway was quite noticable! Do you know of anything else that could cause this type of sway besides shocks or tires (which are definately may pops). My 240D handles tight and rides smooth...and its an 82 with 1 million 228 thousand miles on it. What do you think?....Thanks again for your time....the mudheads (robert and rhonda)
