Default Am I getting ripped off?

Hi all,

I recently decided it was time to take my 1999 ML320 in for service. I've had this since it came out and right now it has 170k miles, but runs strong. Anyway I had the local dealership inspect the vehicle, and here is what they said:

(A) Oil leak from under engine (oil level sensor) $715.00
(B) Replace outer tie-rods both left and right ,estimate includes alignment $603.00
(C) Oil leak form side of engine block(oil test port) $226.00

So does this sound about right?

Thanks!

the oil level sensor is in the pan so the lower oil pan has to come off. 700 sound a bit high to me.. usually 3 hours to remove the pan and replace the sensor. also the cost of the sensor.

tie rods are common on ML and they usually are siezed and need to be heated to remove them and also will need alignment. 600 I can understand.

oil leak from oil pressure test port usually about 1 or 2 hours to replace and part is cheap

I hear it's expensive to repair Mercedes- just bought one and plan to maintain it so hopefully it won't have BIG problems

Oil test port leak is about $5 for new cap and gasket and will not take longer then 20 minutes to replace even with all prep work and cleaning.
How bad is the oil leak at the oil level sending unit? Any oil on the floor of your garage?
Because I'm at about the same millage as yours and the only leaks on my engine were the test port and left valve cover. Tie rods still nice and tight so far.
