I'm looking at purchasing a 2007 ML with the Aluminum Running Boards already on them. Any ideas if these can be removed without doing any damage? Are they simply bolted to the frame? (the car is on the other side of town from me and the dealer said they wouldn't remove them...I failed to look at it that closely when I was there)

If the dealer wants u and a buyer then they will remove them. I am not sure how they came off but i would go to a different dealer if they dont comform to ur requests b4 u buy a car what happens when it comes to warranty work.
