1999 ML320 Issues/queries
Hi. I just picked up a 99 ML320 and I've been searching for my problems/queries all night, but still have some questions.
1) The calipers are sticking. Is there a way I can check the calipers to confirm exactly which ones are sticking? And is there a way I can try to free them that might possibly save me from having to replace them?
2) The rear driver's side door (uk car) has an issue. When opening from the outside, pulling the handle feels like its doing nothing. The handle doesn't make the door click open as the others do. But with a bit more of a tug, the door does open. However the inside door handle doesnt work at all. And I have checked the child lock setting...this is not the issue.
So does anyone know what to check for this and how, if I remove the interior door panel? For example, maybe the child lock setting is stuck on lock (although this wouldn't explain the exterior handle's behaviour).
Thanks for any help received.

If anyone does follow this, as an update, it seems like only the front left wheel has extra resistance in it (jacked up car and spun both wheels). Will also check if any wheel/s is/are hotter than the others after my next long run in the car.
Also got a guy to put it on that rolling ramp type thing in his garage that you use to check brakes, just to be sure....this will be done on monday.
Gonna use tomorrow to do service and have a go at the door issue...if anyone has any hints/tips as a heads up before i begin, it'll be much appreciated.

Door sorted....well, kinda. Theres a cable that runs to the handle behind the door panel, with a black sleeve and a hook on the end of it. The black sleeve slots through a piece on the back side of the panel and the hook attaches on to the back of the handle. On mine though, it was only hooked on to the handle. So i pulled back the sleeve and slotted it where it needed to go, and that sorted the inside handle out. As for the lack of response/feel from the latch resulting in an extra pull to open the door, i think thats the latch itself. Ill get some white lithium grease n try that on the latch. Otherwise forget getting a new latch.... Long as it works.
