I have a 2017 GLC300 with a sunroof. I just noticed this week 2 spots (one on each side of the area above the rear seats. They showed up pretty quickly and look like a water mark, but not wet any longer.

Any ideas what might be the issue?

Car has been well maintained and this is very odd.

I see your post is quite old, though I just found it.

I have the same problem with my GLC300 2016, and I just tested it with the mechanic at MB.

Turns out the seal on the back 'non moving' part of the panoramic sunroof has failed. If you poor just on that seal it will come out on the sides in the back seat as you described (the water travels into the roll up guide of the sun roof shade, out to the edge and then drips).

To see this in action you need to remove the headliner.... not cheap or fun.

The fix is more simple.
1) replace the back sun roof glass (1500 to 4500 usd, depending on who does it) - this is a permanant fix
2) seal it in place

RE option 2: this product was recommended - but it might be a bit tricky to get into place

It was recommended to use a plastic spatula... I have not tried it yet.

Does anyone have any experience with this? Or recommend a different product?

 

Ich habe schon so viele Online-Casinos gesehen, die aussehen, als hätte jemand eine Kiste voll Glitzer explodieren lassen. Überall blinkt und schreit es, aber wenn man ein Spiel starten will, wartet man ewig. Aber beim cresuscasino ist das anders. Es ist irgendwie... erwachsen.

Klar will jeder gewinnen, aber hier macht es einfach Spaß, seine Zeit zu verbringen, auch wenn man mal nicht den Jackpot knackt. Für mich die beste Entdeckung seit langem. Es ist einfach angenehm, und das ist mehr wert als alle blinkenden Banner der Welt.
