Hi everybody,

am an owner of E-240 Model 2004.

I was driving my car today and suddenly a yellow engine shows next to the clock as per below picture :-



The car begin shaking and engine was not working properly .

I drive very slow after that "About 800 m " and stopped the car as i was on a highway.

What is the problem will be in yr opinion ? cause i will take it tomorrow to the mechanic and i don't want him to lie to me on this and fix & exchange unnecessary parts.

Note:-
Am changing engine oil regularly.
Spark plugs last changed was before 30,000km "Am guessing that sparkplugs is causing this problem"
Car temp had never goes high before "and till now the temp is good"

 

Sounds like you have a misfire problem, plugs, coils, wires, etc . need to scan computer to find problem or at lease get you going in right direction

Hooking the car up to the computer should immediately give you the fault codes and they should know what to replace.

Finding the codes should not take more than 5 minutes and if I were you I would simply look over their shoulder when they do it.
