Just got my W211 E200 K with default 16" rims Conti PremiumContact (225/55/R16).

One shop offered to trade in my set of 4 with Avantgarde 17" Michelin Pilot Preceda for $1,900.

Is it a good price? Worth the upgrade? How's the Pilot Preceda compared to the PremiumContact?

I just picked up a 2005 E320 with the stock rims and tires too. And I was thinking the same thing. If you find any info regarding swapping rims and tires (i.e. the shop, info) and you don't find it here on this post, could you please post it here?

I would like to tag along with your research on the subject as I too am slightly considering doing the same.
