White canister under rear seat ??

I just gave my 1986 190E a full cleaning and when I pulled the back set out I found a white canister. The canister was unplugged. What is this canister and should I plug it in?

Is there anything there other then electrical connector ???

No, that unit is on the other side of the car. It has a three wire plug and I guess I will just have to trace it.

What are the wire colors ??? May be a anti-tow sensor for the alarm system.....
green/blue brown/white red/white ???
