Just purchased a Mercury extended warranty for our 2002 E320. Does anyone have any experience with this company? It is a forty eight months, hundred thousand miles contract. Cost twenty eight hundred dollars. Seems to cover most everything but exhaust items with a zero deductable. I have sixty days to cancel so please give me your thoughts. Thanks

 

Some people swear by them, and not surprisingly, some don't. I don't.

I've heard many unhappy stories from people who had a repair done and were not able to recover the cost through the extended warranty, even though it seemed so clear that the repair was covered. To be fair, I've also heard some happy stories, but not near as many.

Not much help, eh? This is one of those arguments that never gets settled. FWIW, consumer advocates routinely recommend against purchasing extended warranties.

 

extended warrentys are woth it especially with your car. you will get your money back i promice( in repairs costs and parts costs)
