W211 280 CDI 3,2L engine&mobile phone
Hi !
This is my first post here.
I bought my first E-class yesterday.
It is W211 280 CDI. It was made September 2004, so it has 3222cm diesel engine.
As far as I know, you could buy to versions of 3222 diesel ( 280 cdi and 320 cdi ).
Now I have 177PS, but can I change software and make my mercedes stronger and change it to 320 cdi ?
I have second problem.
My mercedes has pre-instalation for mobile phone. What I have to buy and where ( Nokia or Mercedes ) to run my Nokia ?
Can I bought some bluetooth adapter for this pre-instalation ?
Thanks for all replies.
Regards
Pawel

RE: W211 280 CDI 3,2L engine&mobile phone
Hi,
280 and 320 have different displacement (size) engines. Therefore a software change will not give the power of the larger engine.
IF the vehicle has pre-installed MB telephone system why isn't everything there except for the handset?
All vehicles have the buttons on the steering wheel. This doesn't mean that telephone interface, wiring etc. is fitted.
Only the MB installation can use the buttons on the steering wheel.
If everything is installed all you need is the correct cradle for your phone. (NB Only certain makes are supported)
Afraid I don't know about Bluetooth.
