Hey there I am thinking of buying an E320 in the USA the car I am looking for is a 1998 to 2003 with a budget of around $11,000. Is there anything I should know about or be looking for?
Ideally I was afacelift 2000 onwards but will consider a 1998 or later. One question is what type of gas do you have to use? I know that the dash says "Premium Gas Only" but will they run on lower grades? and what would be the consequences of using a lower grade?
Also how are parts and servicing in the USA? are there good local specalests that can work on these cars?
This would be my first Mercedes (my dad has had 3 and I am use to working on them) so I appreciate the help thanks
James

Great cars best years 99-00 easlier had teething problems later have quality issues, make sure it has had all recall work done, esp the harmoinc balancer if it is a serial number chassis number that calls for it,also check for rust on the front spring perches, see article on benzworld.org.Where are you looking to buy the car?You live in the UK are you moving here? When you start looking post and we may be able to locate a nice one.

If youre going to buy a 210 chassis id reccommend replacing the crank sensor if it has over 60,000 miles. Its not really expennsive but the car wont start once that sensor goes. IF you happen to run into this problem, a temporary fix would be to cool the crank sensor down because it ****s up when its hot
