Default Is there something wrong with my jack?

I recently had to use my mercedes jack. Once the car is lifted and the tire is off, the jack will lean and the car comes down. Fortunately, I haven't been hurt (this is the 2nd time this has happened). Yes, the car is on level ground each time. Is there something wrong with my jack or am I doing something wrong? Any help in this matter would be greatly appreciated.
TIA, Vern

Default RE: Is there something wrong with my jack?

i'm not positive what kind of jack you have, but if you have the one i'm thinking of that has a peg that fits into one of 4 lift points on the vehicle, yes it will fall if you don't do it right. when you insert the peg into the hole, only put it in about halfway, this way once you've raised the jack and the angle increases, the jack will still be pointed up and down, instead of almost sideways. ya get what i'm saying? (don't do anything unsafe, i'm just giving my experience)
